What are polynucletides (PhilArt) ?

Polynucleotides are biostimulators that are injected into the skin to create an ideal environment for the production and growth of new collagen. This promotes hydration properties and helps to protect against free radical scavengers. The polynucleotide biostimulator aims to rejuvenate and improve skin quality while also providing support to restore the skin’s elasticity. Additionally, the product can be used prior to other aesthetic treatments to help support treatment outcomes.

Extensive clinical data has shown that polynucleotides:

  • Promotes free radical scavenging
  • Increases the viability of fibroblasts (the collagen producing cells) to increase collagen production
  • Encourages the regeneration of damaged and ageing skin

Unlike fillers, polynucleotides improves skin by stimulating the production of collagen to improve skin laxity rather than by adding volume.

Treating Your Cosmetic Concerns

  • Helps reduce superficial fine wrinkles
  • Increases collagen production and synthesis
  • Helps improve skin texture and elasticity
  • Boosts hydration
  • Improves scars and post-blemish concerns

How do polynucleotides benefit younger patients?

Polynucleotides can be useful as an anti-aging preventative treatment for younger patients to help boost the health and appearance of skin. Top-up treatments are recommended every 2-3 months.

How do polynucleotides benefit mature patients?

For mature patients, polynucleotides can help rejuvenate the skin on the face, including the forehead, arches of the eyebrow, around the eyes and the cheekbone area, neck, décolletage and hands. Maintenance sessions are recommended every 1-3 months.

How do polynucleotides differ from Profhilo?

Polynucleotides help stimulate collagen production. Results can be more consistent and longer lasting than Profhilo. Polynucleotides can also be used to treat the skin around the eyes and forehead, which are areas that can’t be treated with Profhilo.

What is the manufacturing process for polynucleotides (PhilArt)?

The manufacturing process includes polynucleotides high purification technology (PN-HPT), derived from freshwater fish, leading to a superior level of purification. This ensures a high-quality product with safety at the forefront.

Your Questions Answered

What happens during treatment?

Local anaesthetic cream is applied prior to treatment. The injections of polynucleotides are strategically placed under the skin. The procedure is relatively quick and there is minimal discomfort.

How many treatments will I need?

The recommended protocol is two sessions, one month apart. In some situations where skin requires more intensive treatments further sessions may be required.

What areas can be treated?

Polynucletodes can be used to rejuvenate the skin around the eyes, face, neck, chest, hands and other body areas.

When will I see results?

Results typically appear around four weeks after treatment and continue to increase over time as the product continues to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the skin.

How long do results last?

Following the two initial treatments results typically last around 6 months. Follow-up treatments are recommended every 3 to 4 months to maintain results.

Does the treatment hurt?

The procedure is very quick and a very small needle is used to administer the treatment so most patients do not feel any discomfort. We can use a topical anaesthetic to reduce the risk of any discomfort.

What is the down time?

There will be small superficial bumps to the skin at the injection site, these usually settle within 24 hours.
